Jesus
Jesus Christ is the centre of everything. He is not just a good teacher or a historical figure—He is the Son of God, the Saviour of the world, and the only way to true life.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is fully God and fully man. He came to earth over 2,000 years ago, lived a perfect and sinless life, and showed us what it means to truly love God and love others. He didn’t just come to teach—He came to rescue us.
Why Do We Need Jesus?
The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s standard (Romans 3:23). Sin (self will) separates us from God, and no amount of good works or effort can fix that. God, in His great love, made a way for us to be saved—through Jesus.
What Did Jesus Do?
Jesus took the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross. He willingly laid down His life so that we could be forgiven (Romans 5:8). But He didn’t stay in the grave—three days later, He rose from the dead, proving His power over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Because He lives, we can have new life in Him.
What Does This Mean for You?
Jesus offers forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life to anyone who believes in Him (John 3:16). You don’t have to earn it—it’s a gift of grace. When you put your trust in Jesus, you become a child of God, made new in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17).
A Life Following Jesus
Being a follower of Jesus isn’t about religion, rules, or rituals—it’s about knowing Him and walking with Him every day. As Christians, we love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). We read His Word, pray, and grow in faith together. We forgive because we have been forgiven, serve because He served, and trust in His plan even when life is difficult. We gather as the Church to encourage one another, worship, and live as His hands and feet in the world. It’s not always easy, but it is the most fulfilling life—one that is centered on Jesus, shaped by grace, and lived for His glory.
How Do I Respond?
If you recognise your need for Jesus, He is ready to meet you where you are. The Bible says:
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
Turning to Jesus means trusting Him fully—acknowledging your need for Him, repenting (turning away) from sin, and following Him as Lord.
